Description   This is an HO scale Liquor Store suited for modern era layouts, circa 1960's till present day. The kit is all laser cut, tab and slot walls and roof sections. Windows and doors are laser cut, as are the included dumpster and ice machine. Kit includes sidewalk section, color signs, roofing paper and metal and plastic detail parts. re: Liquor Depot March 29, 2010 Reviewer: Kevin Taylor from Alma, AR United States   My liquor depot looks right at home on my "Logan Central" late 1970s layout. Set in East Texas, circa 1979, the LC is a woodchip/pulpwood hauler (named for my oldest son) that interchanges with the Missouri Pacific. My liquor depot looks great amid run-down buildings and the pulpwood siding. Rather than paint mine white, as the kit suggest, I instead painted my building Bomber Tan, with white trim around the sides and a faded white trim along the top. After painting, I weathered using a mixture of gray, rust and weathered brown, then lightly sprayed more bomber tan on to give it a very old look. I can almost smell the dingy stanch of a cigar and beer odor inside. The kit comes with great decals and the sign looks good on top. If you like building kits, then this kit is for you. It took me about two days a slow pace to finish my Liquor Depot. Was this review helpful to you?
